Who gets in free, age by age

Check this first, because it changes the sums a lot:

One family, very different bills

At CosmoCaixa, two adults with two under-16s pay €16: €8 per adult. At the Aquarium, with children aged 5 to 10 on individual tickets, it comes to €106. At the Barcelona Wax Museum, the pack for two adults and two children aged 6 to 16 costs €59.90.

With toddlers and strollers

IKONO allows strollers. The Aquarium has a Mini rate for three- and four-year-olds, and the Zoo charges from age three.

With an under-4, rule out the 4D show at Gaudí Experiència: it's banned for them, and it isn't recommended for under-6s either.

With primary-school children

The Museum of Illusions costs €8 online for ages 5 to 12 and is made for taking photos. The Chocolate Museum runs family workshops.

At Paradox Museum, some exhibits have lighting that can affect people with photosensitivity. At the Maritime Museum, under-14s have to be with an adult.

What's the best museum for a three- or four-year-old?

It depends on the plan. IKONO presents itself as suitable for all ages and allows strollers. The 4D show at Gaudí Experiència is banned for under-4s and not recommended for under-6s.

Do any Barcelona museums run workshops for kids?

The Chocolate Museum runs family workshops. Check dates and places on its website.

Where can kids take fun photos?
