Free art in Oviedo

At the Museo de Bellas Artes de Asturias, entry and services are free. Outside July and August it opens Tuesday to Friday 10:30–14:00 and 16:30–20:30, Saturdays 11:30–14:00 and 17:00–20:00, and Sundays and public holidays 11:30–14:30. It's closed on Mondays all year.

Out of town: Colunga and Avilés

The Jurassic Museum and the Centro Niemeyer both mean leaving the capital. The MUJA, in Colunga, costs €7.21, but the self-guided permanent exhibition is free on Wednesdays. It closes for all of January and, except in July and August, on Mondays and Tuesdays too. In Avilés, the Niemeyer's square is open every day and the guided tour costs €5.

Outside July and August, both the Fine Arts Museum and the MUJA are shut on Mondays, and on Tuesdays only the Fine Arts Museum of the two opens.
