MUJA: free every Wednesday for a self-guided look at the permanent exhibition; guided tours, audio guides, workshops and temporary exhibitions are charged. Children aged 0 to 3 also get in free, as do teachers and official tourist guides with proof. The garden and playground don't need a ticket. Niemeyer Centre: the last hour of the afternoon at the exhibitions is free, with a ticket collected at the ticket office.

MUJA: read the calendar first

In February, November and December the Jurassic Museum opens Wednesday to Friday 10:00–14:30, and Saturdays, Sundays and open public holidays 10:30–18:00. From March to June and in September and October, it's Wednesday to Friday 10:00–17:00, and Saturdays, Sundays and open public holidays 10:30–18:30. In July and August it opens daily 10:30–19:00. Outside those two months it's shut on Mondays and Tuesdays, and in January it doesn't open at all. Last entry is an hour before closing.

Capacity is limited, and the museum recommends buying online ahead of time. Tickets are valid for the stated day and slot, with no refunds or changes. Wednesday entry is free if you go self-guided, but the audio guide (€1.76) is charged. The garden and playground don't need a ticket.

Niemeyer Centre: the Plaza and the guided tour

This is Oscar Niemeyer's only work in Spain, on Avenida del Zinc in Avilés. The Plaza is open daily. The guided tour takes in the Plaza, the Auditorium and the Dome for €5, or €4 reduced. Its times can shift with the centre's programme, so check on the day. The exhibitions are free in the last hour of the afternoon, with a ticket from the ticket office. It closes on 24, 25 and 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027.
