Free
Every Sunday from 16:00 to 20:00. Every day: under-18s (under-13s must be with an adult), university teachers and students of Art History and Fine Arts, press card holders, European youth card holders (under 30), members of Málaga's municipal libraries, people officially registered as unemployed, people with a disability and an essential companion, staff of other museums or ICOM members, official tourist guides, and groups with members in rehabilitation or at risk of social exclusion. Special days: 28 February, Noche en Blanco (May, date varies), 18 May, 27 September and 25 October.
Booking
The museum advises buying in advance, online or by phone. Buying online adds a €0.30 handling fee. Reduced for large families, over-65s, students up to age 26 and participants in University of Málaga conference activities. No changes or refunds for reasons outside the centre's control.

Every day from 9:30 to 20:00, public holidays included. 24 and 31 December, 9:30 to 15:00. Admission ends 15 minutes before closing.

Two doorways, two tickets

The Birthplace Museum is at number 15 on Plaza de la Merced and the temporary exhibition room is at number 13. Each one costs €3, or €4 together.

A capacity of 25

The house holds only 25 people. The museum advises buying ahead, online or by phone, and buying online adds a €0.30 fee. With numbers that small, it's worth it. There are no changes or refunds for reasons outside the centre's control.

When you pay nothing

Entry is free every Sunday from 16:00 to 20:00, with admission ending at 19:45. In those hours groups aren't accepted and official guides can't explain to groups, so avoid that slot if you're booking a guided tour.

If you're under 18, a European youth card holder (under 30) or officially unemployed, you get in free on any day.

Joint tickets with other museums

There are joint tickets with the Centre Pompidou Málaga for €10, with the Russian Museum collection for €9.50 and with both for €16.50. See what they include before asking for one: the basic tickets bought separately add up to €10 with the Pompidou and €7 with the Russian Museum.

The Picasso Museum is a different museum with a different ticket.
