The Alcazaba alone or with Gibralfaro
€7 gets you the Alcazaba and €10 adds Gibralfaro Castle, so the joint ticket pays off if you're going up to the castle. Reduced tickets are €3, or €5 for both. At these prices a reseller only makes sense if it adds a guide or an audio guide.
If you're paying the reduced rate as a student or an over-65, note that those two rates are for EU citizens.
Free every Sunday from 14:00
From that hour entry is free for everyone. From November to March you have until last admission at 17:00; from April to October, until 19:00. On a winter Sunday, start with the Roman Theatre, which closes at 16:00, and then head up.
The Roman Theatre keeps its own hours
It's free, and it opens Tuesday to Saturday 10:00–18:00 and on Sundays and public holidays 10:00–16:00. It's closed on Mondays. Entry depends on capacity.
Do you need a guide at the Alcazaba?
To wander the courtyards and walls, a visit on your own is enough. A guided tour adds more if you're interested in the monument's history, or want to see it together with the theatre and the cathedral.
