The Alcázar has had work done in phases. The City Council announced in 2025 that the interior would close temporarily for improvements, and the gardens reopened to the public on 16 June 2026 after further work, according to the local press. Before you buy, confirm which rooms are open.

Free
Free for everyone on non-holiday Thursdays in the last two hours: 18:00 to 20:15 from 16 September to 15 June, and 12:00 to 14:15 from 16 June to 15 September. Also on 28 February, 8 and 27 September and 17 December. No charge, collecting a zero-fee ticket: residents of Córdoba, children of compulsory school age up to 16, unemployed people registered as job seekers and people with a disability of 33% or more.
Booking
Tickets are sold online, at the automatic ticket machines at the museums, the bus station and the Visitor Reception Centre, and at the 24-hour kiosk at the Camposanto de los Mártires. Buying online gets a 10% reduction. At the ticket office you can only pay by bank card. No refunds, unless the City Council is responsible or you were overcharged.

Check the building work before you buy

The Alcázar has had work done in phases. In 2025 the City Council announced that the interior was temporarily closed for improvements, and according to the local press the gardens reopened on 16 June 2026 after further work. Before you go, confirm which rooms are open on 957 420 151. If you book a tour, ask what route it takes: its description may not reflect the work.

Free Thursdays

On non-holiday Thursdays, entry is free for the last two hours: 18:00 to 20:15 from 16 September to 15 June, and 12:00 to 14:15 from 16 June to 15 September. It's also free on 28 February, 8 and 27 September and 17 December.

Two passes worth a look

The Alcázar costs €7 and the Baños del Alcázar Califal €3. The pass for both is €7.50, so the baths cost you 50 cents. The €15 general pass adds the Museo Julio Romero de Torres, the Museo Taurino and the Centro Flamenco Fosforito. Bought separately, those five would cost €22.

Paying and refunds

At the ticket office you can only pay by bank card. Online you get 10% off. Tickets can't be refunded, unless the City Council is responsible or you were overcharged, so settle the building-work question first.
