Free for everyone on Saturdays that aren't public holidays from 14:00 and on Sunday mornings, plus 18 April, 18 May, 12 October and 6 December. With proof, free for, among others, under-18s and over-65s, students aged 18 to 25, Carné Joven youth card holders, people with disabilities and a companion, pensioners, unemployed people, large families and teachers.
Booking
The museum asks you to buy online where possible. Under-14s must be with an adult; those aged 14 to 18 without an adult must show ID.

Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 to 20:00. Sundays and public holidays, 9:30 to 15:00. Ticket offices close 15 minutes before closing and rooms start clearing 10 minutes before closing.

Paying €3 or waiting for the free slot

At €3 a ticket, the free slot saves you very little, so choose your time by how long you have. On a Saturday that isn't a public holiday, you have six hours from 14:00 until closing. On Sundays the museum shuts at 15:00.

Ticket offices close 15 minutes before the museum and staff start clearing the rooms 10 minutes before closing. The museum asks visitors to buy online where possible.

The museum's own tour comes before any reseller

If you only want entry, buy on the museum's website. Tiqets and GetYourGuide products cost much more than the official €3, because you're mostly paying for the organised tour.

Before you book one, look at Las imprescindibles, the museum's own tour: Saturdays at 11:30, about 90 minutes, with a free ticket collected at the ticket office from an hour before. Ask there which language it's in. If you want a different day, or to book ahead, that's where a reseller fits. On Tiqets, the guided tour can be cancelled before the date.

Who gets in free

With proof, visitors who get in free at any time include under-18s and over-65s, students aged 18 to 25, Carné Joven youth card holders, pensioners, unemployed people, large families, teachers, and people with disabilities with a companion.
