The Thursday alarm for free Sundays
Entry is free on the first Sunday of the month, but only online and with limited capacity. Tickets are released on the Thursday before at 10:00, and the website warns it can jam with so many people logged on. If it fails, try again a few minutes later. Set an alarm. Tickets for the other free days come out four days ahead.
The Mini rate and who goes free
The Mini rate, €5, is for ages 13 to 18, and for Carnet Joven holders and large or single-parent families. Children up to age 12 and unemployed people don't pay, among other groups, with proof.
The rooftop depends on the weather
The rooftop can close for rain, strong wind or extreme heat, and so can the courtyard. If that's what you most want to see, check the forecast before you buy. In winter last entry is at 16:30, so don't leave it until mid-afternoon.
The visit runs on an app on your phone: download it first and don't forget headphones. There are guided tours at weekends, with dates on the official website.
