An hour, then on to the next thing

You can see Moco in about 60 minutes, and it's on the same street as the Picasso Museum, Carrer de Montcada, so the two fit well together. It opens every day until 20:00, including Mondays, when the Picasso closes.

The draw here is well-known names: Banksy, Warhol, Basquiat, Haring and Dalí, plus walk-through rooms and digital art. It won't fill a morning, but it delivers if you want to see those artists up close.

Flex, VIP or the standard ticket

Prices start at €14.95 and the museum's website advertises savings of up to 20% online, so don't leave it until you reach the door. The audio guide is free with any ticket: don't pay a supplement for it, and bring your own headphones.

Flex only makes sense if you don't know what time you'll arrive, and VIP adds a glass of cava to that flexibility. If you're also going to Casa Batlló, the website sells the two together from €35.

Children up to age 6 don't pay. Buy ahead: the museum warns that places per time slot are limited.
