Sundays work differently

On Sundays the cathedral doesn't open to tourists until 13:30. Early in the morning entry is free, but only to the church: the cloister, exhibition rooms and chapels are shut. It's good for a brief look at no cost. The full visit is €4, Monday to Saturday or on Sunday afternoon.

That €4 also covers the Bishop's Palace, but the ticket is valid for one day only, so see them back to back.

The tower: set times and 190 steps

The tower is guided, at 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30. From April to September there are extra visits at 18:00 and 19:30, plus one at 21:30 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It lasts an hour and includes an audio guide in English, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese and Korean.

The ticket-office-only pack

If you want both guided visits, cathedral and tower, the ticket office has a €10 pack that isn't sold on Sundays. Separately they cost €6 and €7. No discounts apply, and when you book, remember that each visit lasts an hour.

Cathedral website or reseller

If you cancel an online booking on the cathedral's website more than 24 hours ahead, you get a voucher to spend within 180 days, not your money back. On Tiqets, these tickets can be cancelled before the date, which is the reason to buy there. Day trips make sense if you have no car and want to add the Alcázar. The rest of the city is in the Segovia guide.
