One ticket for almost everything

The €12 general ticket covers the Collections and the temporary shows. The two-visit ticket, at €18, lets you come back within a year, which makes sense if one show you want to see opens later than another.

The show at the Palacio de Velázquez is free. It's in the Retiro park, not at the main site, so allow for the walk.

Quieter hours for the shows

The museum says it's busiest from 10:00 to 12:00 and when free entry begins at 19:00. For a calmer visit, it suggests coming between 14:00 and 18:00. The conditions for the free slot are in Reina Sofía free hours, and the collection is in Reina Sofía artworks.
