The two tickets on sale
The cathedral sells a joint ticket with the Basilica of Sant Feliu for €7.50, and Girona Episcopal, which adds the Museu d'Art de Girona, for €12. Both come with an audio guide. So the museum costs you €4.50 extra, or €3 if you're retired or a student.
Both are valid for 12 months from purchase, and you can see each site on a different day.
GetYourGuide's combo covers the same as Girona Episcopal, so compare before buying. The day trip from Barcelona is for anyone who'd rather not arrange transport.
See the nave without paying
Before ticketed visits start, the nave is open to all: Monday to Saturday 8:45–9:45, and Sundays 8:45–11:45. It's a free look at the Gothic nave, which at 23 metres across is the widest vaulted Gothic space in the world. The website mentions only the nave, so don't count on seeing anything else.
Sundays and services
On Sundays, ticketed visits don't start until 12:00. From 1 November to 14 March they end at 16:30 every day. The cathedral also closes during extra services, so confirm if you're going on a special date.
Tickets for children
Ages 8 to 15 pay €1.50, and under-8s don't pay. Their free tickets have to be handled along with the adults' tickets, so include them in the same purchase.
